What we record

We use no cookies and no third-party tracking. We record anonymous events so we can see how the site is used: which pages are opened, what is typed at the door, whether the Checkout button is pressed, and the first half of a postcode entered in the basket (for example "W1B", never the full postcode). With each event we keep the country your connection comes from and the site that sent you, if any. We never store your IP address or your name.

On your device

Your browser remembers whether you got through the door, so you are not asked again. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The free e-book

If you ask for the novel as an e-book, we keep the email address you give us, with your consent, to send you the book link and to tell you when the door opens. Nothing else, and never shared. Write to us to have it deleted.

Payments

This site takes no card details and no payments.

Your rights

Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is usually nothing to look up or delete. If you think otherwise, write to us and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
